WATCH: Dan Auerbach Announces Video For Release Of Upcoming Album

Yesterday, The New Pollution speculated on the details of Dan Auerbach‘s second solo record, due for release this Spring.

Tonight the social media accounts of Auerbach posted a short promotional video containing a day in the life of Auerbach writing and recording the LP. The video contains footage of Auerbach working with others on the album such as Duane Eddy, Dave Roe, Gene Chrisman and many more in The Black Keys singer’s Easy Eye Sound recording studio.

The video is narrated by Auerbach as he describes his motivation for returning to solo work, “I grew wanting to play music with my family because they all played Bluegrass. I wanted to have a Martin guitar and I wanted to sing those songs and sings those harmonies with my family. And there’s no other city in the world that appreciates that kind of music like Nashville does.”

As we previously rumoured the first release date for a single to be 30th March, it now seems as though that date is actually the album release date as the video is captioned as 3.30 (American dating for 30/3).

For fans of The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach’s previous solo work or The Arcs, this is sure to be a very intimate and delightful listen.
